The city has suspended alternate side parking regulations and the Sanitation Department has issued a snow alert, putting its employees on call for a pending storm.
During a snow alert, salt spreaders are loaded and plows attached to vehicles.
The National Weather Service, issuing a winter weather advisory, predicts it will start snowing late tonight, accumulating about 3 to 5 inches.
The next chance for snow comes Tuesday and Wednesday. That would be the sixth storm since winter began Dec. 21.
